      Harvard Will Have Segregated Graduation…Seriously

Harvard is going back to the days of segregation, holding a graduation ceremony where attendance and participation are based solely on the color of one’s skin and have nothing to do with the content of one’s character. The proudly collectivist race-based festivities were described in racialist media as an opportunity to “acknowledge the struggles and resilience that black students have had to possess in order to thrive in higher education.”

The segregated graduation ceremony, set to take place later this month, is only for black graduate students. It will apparently cost close to $30,000. Next year, a similar race-segregated graduation ceremony is being planned for the undergraduate level. Other universities that have held segregated graduation ceremonies in recent years include Stanford University, Temple University, and Columbia University, according to media reports.

Organizers of the racist-by-definition ceremony at Harvard defended the move. “This is an opportunity to celebrate Harvard’s Black excellence and Black brilliance,” Michael Huggins, who is graduating with a Masters degree in “public policy,” was quoted as saying in the race-obsessed media outlet The Root. “It’s an event where we can see each other and our parents and family can see us as a collective, whole group. A community.”

Despite the fact that the segregationist race-based ceremony is segregated based on race, Huggins denied that “this” was about segregation. “It’s about fellowship and building a community,” he claimed, without elaborating. “This is a chance to reaffirm for each other that we enter the work world with a network of supporters standing with us. We are all partners.”

Across the Internet, commentators ridiculed the racist organizers and their racist ceremony. But unfortunately, the trend toward racializing everything and dividing people based on every conceivable fault-line is no laughing matter. In fact, it is extremely serious — and dangerous for America and liberty.

As if more evidence of university insanity were needed, the conservative-leaning Campus Reform reported this week that Northern Arizona University now has signs outside public restrooms telling students to ponder whether they have “pee privilege.” If the bathroom users “never have to think about gender identity, ability, or access when peeing,” then they have “pee privilege,” according to one sign.

The constant stream of tax funding for universities has allowed them to become bastions of what any sane person would recognize as absolute lunacy. Harvard alone receives billions in tax funds. It is time that taxpayers demand that their hard-earned dollars be put to better use.
