A disturbed and apparently confused 5th grade teacher in Florida sparked a parental outcry and a national scandal after demanding that the young children she indoctrinates refer to her by the supposedly gender-neutral term “Mix” instead of the traditional Miss or Ms. Victims included children as young as 9-years old.
After the demands became a national scandal and a major embarrassment for the school, officials apologized and backed down slightly. However, the fact that a government-school teacher thought it was a good idea in the first place reveals a great deal about the dangers of surrendering one’s children to government for supposed “education.”
In a letter sent home with 5th graders at Canopy Oaks Elementary near Florida’s capital in the Tallahassee area, Math and science teacher Chloe Bressack said “I use gender neutral terms.” She also asked that she be referred to by the children as “Mx.” Bressack, “pronounced Mix.”
She also asked not to be referred to as her or she, saying “my pronouns are ‘they, them, their’ instead of ‘he, his, she, hers.’” “I know it takes some practice for it to feel natural, but students catch on pretty quickly,” the letter promising “fun activities” from “Mx. Bressack” continues.
Of course, parents, who faced less extreme indoctrination in government schools a mere generation ago, were outraged. And so, the letter was posted to Facebook, drawing furious condemnation from other parents and people worldwide.
After all, according to the American College of Pediatricians, conditioning children “into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse.”
The ridiculous demands have made headlines across America, all the way to California, and even overseas, with the influential U.K.Daily Mail and other outlets picking up the story.
Bizarrely, Canopy Oaks Principal Paul Lambert initially announced his support for Bressack’s efforts to confuse and indoctrinate the captive students with her unhinged gender ideology.
“We support her preference in how she’s addressed, we certainly do,” Lambert was quoted as saying. “I think a lot of times it might be decided that there is an agenda there, because of her preference — I can tell you her only agenda is teaching math and science at the greatest level she can.”
However, as news of the letter continue to spread — and no doubt as many parents considered yanking their children out of such an environment — the Leon County School District realized the optics were not good, to put it mildly.
Finally, a statement was released in which the teacher apologized for “any confusion” the letter may have caused. District Superintendent Rocky Hanna also apologized and vowed to “work hard to ensure something like this doesn’t happen again.”
It’s not the first time gender-related scandals have rocked the school. In 2015, the school district even trained administrators and officials to allow biological males who claim to be confused about their gender into the bathrooms and locker rooms with girls as young as 5-years old.
While there remain many amazing teachers in public schools, including great Christians, the indoctrination being pushed on impressionable kids in government schools across America today is beyond outrageous. Sensible parents should take immediate steps to remove their children from such a dangerous environment. The future of America is literally at stake.
