Left-wing extremists and advocates of sexualizing children are coming unglued as Florida’s elected officials take small, largely symbolic steps to rein in the madness that has taken over government education.
Indeed, countless radicals in the classroom doubled down, promising to escalate the extremism targeting Florida children. At this point, teachers are openly vowing to defy new laws seeking to protect children from hyper-sexual LGBT indoctrination and grooming.
Separately, a decision by Florida education officials to prohibit textbooks that include racism, race-mongering, sexualization, Social-Emotional Learning, and other prohibited indoctrination efforts is drawing outrage from the usual suspects. More than 70 percent of K-5 textbooks were rejected.
“It seems that some publishers attempted to slap a coat of paint on an old house built on the foundation of Common Core, and indoctrinating concepts like race essentialism, especially, bizarrely, for elementary school students,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in a statement about the state’s decision.
The day of the announcement, DeSantis was trending on Twitter as furious teachers complained about state efforts to stop CRT brainwashing. Many of the posts were hostile, bordering on violent, going so far as to accuse the state’s leadership of “fascism.”
Critics of the decision dishonestly portrayed it as “book banning” and vowed to keep injecting the controversial material into the classroom. Ironically, though, as Gov. DeSantis pointed out, these same forces are actually working to ban classic American books such as “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
“So we understand that this is an attack on teachers, an attack on students, an attack on their freedom,” claimed Karla Hernández-Mats who leads the 30,000-strong Miami teachers’ union called United Teachers of Dade. “Despite these attacks, we’re gonna [sic] keep on pushing forward.”
Despite a growing public outcry across the political spectrum over the disturbing things taking place in classrooms, many teachers are getting bolder and more public. Libs of Tik Tok, a prominent Twitter account exposing leftists, even released a series of horrific videos of teachers vowing to crank up the madness.
In response to a state law aimed at protecting children under 10 from propaganda promoting homosexuality and transgenderism, countless teachers, woke corporations, union bosses, and child-grooming advocates went into meltdown mode. They promptly vowed to “resist,” too.
Teachers across the state began sharing a bizarre memo promising to double down on the gender-bending antics. Among other tactics, the teacher memo vowed to stop making reference to students’ gender, promising to use the “non-gendered title ‘Mix’” for themselves.
“To be in accordance with this policy, I will no longer be referring to your student with gendered pronouns,” the memo said. “All students will be referred to as ‘they’ or ‘them.’” Those “pronouns” are used by individuals claiming to be confused to avoid being identified as male or female.
The memo also promised to remove all books that include words such as mother, father, husband, wife, because those are “gender identities that also may allude to sexual orientation.” All books using the terms he and she will also be removed from the class, according to the document circulated among Florida teachers.
These bills are a tiny step in the right direction. However, there is a major danger that has been left almost unmentioned. Parents on the fence about pulling their children from government school may naively continue subjecting their children to the godless indoctrination that permeates every element of public “education.”
