At UN ‘Climate’ Summit in Brazil, Brainwashing Children Seen as Key

Bombarding children worldwide with a non-stop deluge of “climate change education” will be essential to saving the planet from the alleged dangers of carbon dioxide, according to globalists and climate alarmists gathered in Belem, Brazil, for the annual United Nations “climate” summit. Weaponizing children must be at “the heart” of it all, UN functionaries declared.

At the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30), governments who signed on to the Paris Accord are showing up with what the UN describes as “Nationally Determined Contributions” (NDCs). These outline what actions the governments intend to take over the next five years to fight alleged man-made global warming, in line with UN demands. Supposedly these actions will prevent temperature increases.

Unsurprisingly, many of the governments — bribed using Western taxpayer money by global institutions, far-left Westen governments, and billionaire “philanthropists” — are making the indoctrination of children with climate propaganda a key part of their pledges. The UN has long championed that idea. In fact, many UN bureaucrats say “education” is the most important part of the plan.

The UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is the lead UN agency tasked with indoctrinating children on “climate” and other issues ranging from gender to global citizenship. As usual, it has been preparing all year to make its mark at the summit. In the months leading up to the summit, UNESCO even hosted a series of webinars on how to weaponize education for the cause.

Turning children into activists for global “climate” action via “education” is a key part of the battle, UNESCO bosses stressed. “Education is one of the most powerful tools in the global efforts to address the climate crisis,” argued UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education Stefania Giannini, one of several senior UN bureaucrats leading the charge at COP30.

But promoting understanding of the supposed crisis of “climate change” is not enough if children are not moved to action and turned into activists for the UN’s vision, she continued. “We must ensure that every learner is equipped not only to understand the challenges but also to take action as part of the transition to a greener more sustainable society,” Giannini said.

Educators worldwide are supposedly all on board—all they need now is more money! Education International, a global alliance of teachers’ unions, is one of the key players in the effort to globalize climate indoctrination. As a major force behind the UN’s “Greening Education Partnership” alongside UNESCO, EI is one of many voices seeking to dramatically and quickly accelerate the indoctrination of children.

“As we rise to protect our planet and our homes, education must stand at the center of our struggle,” claimed Education International President Mugwena Malulke, demanding that “education” be used to lead children and humanity into what he called the “just green economy.” “The Earth deserves that hope. At COP30, educators call on every government to place education on the frontline.”

The global educator group’s general secretary, David Edwards, was similarly enthusiastic about the prospect of saving the planet by brainwashing children to fight CO2. Indeed, he framed “education” and activism by indoctrinated children as critical to saving the planet from the supposed ravages of the gas exhaled by every living human being and often dubbed the “gas of life.”

“Teachers everywhere are committed to delivering quality climate education to empower their students for climate action,” gushed Edwards in his screed without explaining what exactly quality climate education actually means. “We need policies that provide us with enabling conditions to teach for the planet… Education can be one of our best defenses against the climate emergency.”

Throughout its website, the group echoed those calls in a series of propaganda posts emphasizing the importance of promoting hysteria among the youth. “Education is climate action!” the group insisted in an announcement about the COP30. “Transforming education is essential to fighting climate change and building a sustainable future. Every student has the right to learn how to protect the planet and thrive in a green economy.”

“At COP30 and beyond, teachers and their unions are determined to ensure climate education as an adaptation measure and an essential way to achieve climate justice for all,” the alliance of unions continued, purporting to speak for educators and teachers’ unions from across the world. “Teachers are catalysts: Quality climate education starts with trained, empowered, and supported educators.”

In its bizarre “Toolkit: Teach for the Planet at COP30,” the outfit purporting to speak for the world’s teachers did not hold back. “Education must be transformed to catalyze the fight against climate change and to support a just transition to a more sustainable world,” it said. “Teachers are at the heart of greening education and have a crucial role to play when it comes to climate action.”

The teacher alliance also issued a list of “demands” that it said must be met by governments. These include ensuring that all governments incorporate mandatory climate indoctrination of children into their NDCs for fighting global warming. And unsurprisingly, like virtually every special interest at the summit, the group also demanded ever-larger sums of taxpayer money for its stakeholders to help fight climate change.

Virtually every sector of the education establishment is jumping on the bandwagon, including academia and “higher learning.” Most of the big and prestigious universities are well represented at the summit. Cambridge’s Global Director for climate education Christine Özden, who is attending the summit, was among the many voices claiming that “climate” solutions must see education as central.

“Education is one of our most powerful tools in tackling the climate crisis,” said Özden, sounding just like virtually every other overpaid academic promoting “education” as a tool for fighting global warming. “Without widespread climate education, the next round of climate targets risk being misunderstood, resisted or ignored. There’s real momentum building behind climate education, but it must continue at pace.”

“The climate crisis demands action on every front. But if we want solutions that last, we must start with education,” continued Özden, who presented a report at COP30 on how indoctrinating children could translate into climate action. “Young people deserve to face a changing climate with knowledge, confidence and agency. That begins in the classroom.”

The globalist climate cult no longer bothers to hide its agenda anymore. And while climate alarmists have largely given up on persuading American adults, they know that by capturing the hearts and minds of the next generation, they win. Objections by the bitter clingers in older generations will fade, and the “change agents” radicalized in government indoctrination camps will lead the way toward global tyranny. It is time to resist.
