Shakespeare Removed From Penn
Right Makes Might With Dr. Duke
Dr. Duke, a professor of Shakespeare and Renaissance literature, addresses the recent uprising at the University of Pennsylvania, where English majors took down a portrait of Shakespeare and replaced it with a picture of a black, female, feminist writer. Dr. Duke makes the novel suggestion that real diversity will only come when we replace white, liberal professors, with more intellectually diverse faculty. In the end, Shakespeare’s accomplishments far supersede those of the white professoriate (and students) who seek to remove him.
